I partnered up with Kijiji Canada last month to help them put together an episode for their online video series "Second-Hand Van". The video also went live on a Daily Hive article called "10 Badass Vancouver Motorcyclists on Instagram you need to Follow" that went up yesterday (see it HERE). As well as an article published on Vancouver Is Awesome called "7 Badass Motorcycles from Vancouver's History" (See it HERE). Or you can just see it here on the best website there ever was.

This past Saturday was the biggest and best International Female Ride Day I've hosted yet! There was over 55 women who showed up at International Motorsports and even more that joined along the way. I raffled off some prizes, we drank coffee and then rode out to Delta to the Owl and Raptor Rehabilitation Centre where we got to watch them release 2 rehabilitated bald eagles back into the wild. It was insanely cool. There were a couple owls there too and damn those things are majestic. Also, a snake shit on me. Overall it was a really hilarious and awesome day. Thanks so much to everyone who came out!! Here's some photos from the day.
CBC News interviewed me the week before the event about women who ride in Vancouver and the International Female Ride Day event. You can hear it on their site HERE
Thanks to The Dream Roll, Converse, Brixton & Stance Socks for supplying raffle prizes and thank you to International Motorsports in Vancouver for hosting us and supplying coffee and snacks! I like to switch it up every year in terms of location and routes so if you have any ideas for next years event, hit me up through the CONTACT tab at the top of my site!
Holy fuck these are cool. Mandy Lyn shot these photos of some local Vancouver babes on Corey Lekus' Shovelhead down at the Hawks Nest Garage Space in the Downtown Eastside. Everything 35mm. You can get in touch with her and buy prints through her website HERE.
Well, it's Wednesday and I am still sleepy from 3 days at Hotel Tacoma this weekend. A driver picked us up at the airport and drove us straight to the Oregon Coast without telling us any details about where we were going or what we were about to do. We got to the sand dunes, the driver got out, put his flag up and rallied the brand new truck into the sandy desert. We eventually popped onto the beach where he drove a couple miles along the ocean to the entrance of Hotel Tacoma. Over the course of the next 3 days: We ate yummy ass food, dirt biked beside the Goonies rock on the beach, got in trouble for rallying a Polaris side-by-side too hard, met some famous cool people, threw axes into trees, swam in a lake at 2am, did 300 shots of tequila, pet Loki the Wolfdog, mountain biked on $7,500 mountain bikes, ate a pound of sand trying to win the mini bike races, jumped a brand new Tacoma off the ground, crashed one into the ditch, rolled down a hill in a blow-up orb, got a massage in a rainstorm & tried to collaborate all of that into a video that would fit into Instagram. Here's what I put together with the help of the new Hitcase 2.0 PRO case and lens. The thing is waterproof & shock proof - thank God cus' I dropped it in the ocean and also drunkenly threw it against a wall trying to prove to people that it worked.
Hotel Tacoma: Not 100% sure what I'm getting myself into this weekend, but after watching this video - I think it's going to be good. Last year was the first year that Toyota did their "Hotel Tacoma" activation in Arizona. They invited 96 influencers, athletes, Insta cool peeps, and all around awesome people to their "5-Star" 3-day adult-play place in the middle of no where, gave them all a truck, Yamaha dirt bike & Polaris side by said and let them go to town. This year the event is somewhere in Oregon and I only know that because I'm flying into Portland... Let the games begin dudes!! I am so ready. I will do another post when I get home. In the meantime, follow along on mine and Jenny's Instagram accounts: @actuallyitsaxel & @hookersandpopcorn
International Female Ride Day is coming up !! This will be the 4th year that Road Apples organizes a ride in Vancouver/BC. Last year we did Victoria @ Wheelies Motorcycles and it was a fucking blast. This year will be back in Vancouver but with a twist. We're going to meet at International Motorsports on 2nd Ave at 10:30am on May 6th, drink some coffee, do a raffle with prizes from Converse, Brixton, Stance & The Dream Roll and then head out towards the O.W.L Rehabilitation Centre in Delta. They're having an open house on the same day we're doing the ride (May 6th) so were going to go check out some owls and raptors and even watch one of these birds being released back into the wild.
Ladies only! Anyone is welcome to the meet up at International Motorsports but ladies only on the ride! See you babes soon! More information on the poster below or the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/events/1791288931191865/
The first ever Paradise Road Show went down this past January at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. Hosted by Lanakila MacNaughton from the Women's Moto Exhibit, Chase Stopnik from Cycle Zombies and Adri Law, LA based photographer and stylist, Paradise Road Show brought out 30 vintage motorcycles from pre-1960 and a dozen vintage hot rods. The weather was freakin' perfect and the crowd was good looking as hell. Here's a couple photos I took at the event. The rest are saved for the new issue of Revolution Motorcycle Magazine. Pick up a copy!
Check out the next Revolution Motorcycle Magazine for more pictures and the full story on the event!
I went down to New Braunfelds in Southern Texas for the Giddy Up Vintage Chopper Show. I covered the story for Revolution Motorcycle Magazine, so you'll have to wait for the article to come out to get the full story and all my photos, but here's a good taster!! The event was really insane. I will be back next year for sure, if I'm fully recovered by then!
