LOSERPALOOZA 2018

LOSERPALOOZA went down last weekend in Vancouver, BC - there were 35 vintage choppers in the Pipe Shop Venue that came to town from all over Canada and the West Coast. There were 20 artists that had their art hung on display, 2 tattooers, a fully functioning bar, a tin-type photographer, a chain-stitch embroiderer, a hammock gazebo and more. The 2 day event is an every-second-year event and is planned to happen again in 2020. Here’s some photos of the show by Willie Leak:

Milwaukee 115th Anniversary Re Cap

I’m home and rested after a week in Milwaukee for their city-wide party to celebrate the 115th Anniversary of Harley Davidson. I got to ride this big ol’ CVO Street Glide from Toronto to Milwaukee and then all over throughout that week. My photos and some words about the whole thing are up on the Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys blog, check it out HERE.

HOG Magazine // Summer 2018

If you're a HOG Member or in a Harley Dealership this summer, be sure to get your hands on the new issue of HOG Magazine. I am featured on the cover as well as my 4 page story about International Female Ride Day - The ride I hosted in May which turned out to be the largest gathering of women on motorcycles in Canada. Thanks to Ashley Barker for the photos and to Harley Canada for making this happen!

Cody's Film // Vancouver - Mexico

I spent the past month on the road with Cody Kemmet. We rode from Vancouver, BC down to the Mexican Baja on our shitty choppers. We took the slow roads along the coast the whole way, toured the East Coast of the Baja and the California deserts on the way up and attended Born Free 10.

Cody shoots film and develops it himself, here's some of his stuff...

International Female Ride Day - Vancouver 2018

The Vancouver meet-up on International Female Ride Day went off without a hitch. 100 women showed up to the Trev Deeley Harley Davidson on Saturday morning to celebrate and ride for the yearly event.

We hung out, drank coffee, and won some prizes before taking off on a group ride to Deep Cove. Over 100 motorcycles took over the Dollarton Highway and then the cul-de-sec right down on the ocean side in Deep Cove. The turnout was so amazing and the sun was out and warm.

The first time I hosted the Vancouver meet-up of IFRD, 4 ladies showed up and each year since, the attendance has doubled.

It makes me so stoked to ride next to these local ladies every year on this day. HOG is covering the story for their magazine (keep an eye out!) and CBC did a write up on their website. See it HERE.

Hairpin

Notes on being a boss bitch

I recently put together a couple article for the new women's moto magazine: Hairpin.

Check them out. The Girl Boss article here and the Dream Roll article here.

hairpin

"Hairpin is based around motorcycling, but more than that, it’s the embodiment of a feeling that riding brings. It’s wild, whimsical and unrestricted. It’s about being in charge, having fun, being happy, being indulgent, being part of something. About taking life in your own hands and backing whatever happens.

Hairpin brings together this wave of free thinking and celebrates unity, both online and in traditional print media (soon-to-be-released, we’ll keep you posted!). We’re not here to appeal to the masses, so we aren’t safe and conservative. We’re here for one audience only – women who ride and women who love the road.

We’re talking to moto babes all over the world about what’s going on in their neck of the woods. What they love most about riding and where they live; what ticks them off; the adventures they’ve had and the views they hold; and what topic is most likely to get the women they know debating passionately long into the night.

Hairpin is a supportive hub for our community - a sounding board, an advisor and a filter that will take you straight to the good stuff. Stay a while and have a poke around. Sometimes it’s nice to step out of your own bubble and take a look at someone else’s. Because you can never know too much about the world, or the sisters we share it with."
