The One Motorcycle Show

The One Motorcycle Show is always a wicked time. This is the 3rd year in a row that I went down with Yamaha master Tory Potoroka from Dirt First Dirt Last. Last year he brought down his SR cafe/tracker and this year he brought down his XT500 chopper build.

It's rad being able to tag along with a builder from the show because I get to watch all the builders roll their bikes in and see who built what. This year my favourite bikes were the Canadian chopper crew obviously, Tyler Lepore's Panhead which won Best Chopper & Kenneth from Moto Galore's Flathead OH MY GODDDDDDDDD. I spent a lot of the weekend doing some content creation for Vancouver based brand Hitcase, so here's a couple pictures I took with their new product:

Stay Wild EXPO

On the Saturday of the Stay Wild Magazine EXPO happening this weekend in Portland, there is a field trip called the Dream Roll: Ride to the Coast. I will be leading a ride from Portland to the coast with a ton of 'secret stops' along the way. We will meet at 9am at the World Forestry Centre: 4033 SW Canyon Rd, Portland and we will ride all day! Food, drinks and a gift bag are included. Did I mention this is a co-ed ride?? There are only 25 tickets being sold to this EXPO field trip and there are only 6 left so get your hands on one! You can buy a ticket here --> http://www.merctickets.com/events/31958788/dream-roll-to-the-coast

Excited to get back to Portland and do some more riding. The forecast is totally sunny and I'm bringing a crew down from Canada for the weekend so lets get weird!

The 1 Moto: Dirt Firsts' SR500

There's a shit-tonne of cool bikes at the 1 Moto show in Portland. This year I think everyone can agree that the calibre of bikes compared to previous years is out the roof. This year, I got to be a close part of one of the bikes coming down to the show hailing from Vancouver, BC. Tory Potoroka does "Dirt First" Garage here in Canada, where he is known to perfectly rebuild old Yamaha's top to bottom. He re-built the engine in my XT500 and has had his hands on the majority of XTs here in Vancouver and around the Province.

For the 1 Moto Show 2016, he decided to rebuild an SR500 that he had been slowly working on over the past 3 years. The Show got Tory's ball rolling and under three months, the engine was re-built, the tank was painted, and the bike was shipped in parts from all over the world to his basement shop in Strathcona.

On Friday morning we cruised the i5 down to Portland. We spent the weekend looking at crazy amounts of rad bikes, but this SR is one of my personal favourites. An old Yamaha at it's finest! Can't wait to see what Tory will mock up for 2017.
