Carle Brenneman and I rode our motorcycles from Vancouver to Tofino, up island to Comox, across to Powell River and back to the city along the Sunshine Coast. It was perfect weather, perfect riding and a perfect trip. Here's some photos I took on my Cannon AE-1 film camera.
The Vancouver meet-up on International Female Ride Day went off without a hitch. 100 women showed up to the Trev Deeley Harley Davidson on Saturday morning to celebrate and ride for the yearly event.
We hung out, drank coffee, and won some prizes before taking off on a group ride to Deep Cove. Over 100 motorcycles took over the Dollarton Highway and then the cul-de-sec right down on the ocean side in Deep Cove. The turnout was so amazing and the sun was out and warm.
The first time I hosted the Vancouver meet-up of IFRD, 4 ladies showed up and each year since, the attendance has doubled.
It makes me so stoked to ride next to these local ladies every year on this day. HOG is covering the story for their magazine (keep an eye out!) and CBC did a write up on their website. See it HERE.

"Hairpin is based around motorcycling, but more than that, it’s the embodiment of a feeling that riding brings. It’s wild, whimsical and unrestricted. It’s about being in charge, having fun, being happy, being indulgent, being part of something. About taking life in your own hands and backing whatever happens.
Hairpin brings together this wave of free thinking and celebrates unity, both online and in traditional print media (soon-to-be-released, we’ll keep you posted!). We’re not here to appeal to the masses, so we aren’t safe and conservative. We’re here for one audience only – women who ride and women who love the road.
We’re talking to moto babes all over the world about what’s going on in their neck of the woods. What they love most about riding and where they live; what ticks them off; the adventures they’ve had and the views they hold; and what topic is most likely to get the women they know debating passionately long into the night.
Hairpin is a supportive hub for our community - a sounding board, an advisor and a filter that will take you straight to the good stuff. Stay a while and have a poke around. Sometimes it’s nice to step out of your own bubble and take a look at someone else’s. Because you can never know too much about the world, or the sisters we share it with."
Super stoked to be doing some influencer stuff with Breaking Hearts & Burning Rubber. I get asked to do posts about all sorts of brands but I usually say hell no unless it's something I actually wear and like.
BH & BR is one of my favourite women-ran brands. Leslie, the founder, had only met me one time ever before and offered for me to stay on her couch for 3 days when I was in a jam on my first-ever trip to New York. While I was there, she invited me to her studio which was right beside Times Square. I was so impressed with her set up and her factory which she shares with the brand Modern Vice. She has so many tools, machines and leather stock, it's insane. At the time she was talking about launching her brand into more than just boots and now she's got it all, leather jackets, riding boots, gloves, clothing and more. This month she's offering a sale on her website for her new and best selling items. You can check it out HERE.
I also got a pair of boots from them that I am giving away at the International Female Ride Day I'm hosting on May 5th at Trev Deeley in Vancouver BC, so there's another reason not to miss that (See event details in previous post HERE)
Here's some shots of my new jacket!! I haven't taken it off since I got it...

The first Saturday in May is International Female Ride Day. This will be the 5th year that I host Vancouvers' meet-up - and I think it's going to be the best one yet.
Each year the attendance doubles and it's easily the biggest meet up of women on bikes in the country. This year, we are meeting at the Trev Deeley Harley Davidson at 11am on May 5th. I've got a bunch of stuff from sponsors to give away, thanks to Converse, Stance, Harley Davidson, and Brixton. I'll also raffle off a Dream Roll ticket, so even if you're not able to go on the ride or don't have a bike yet, show up and meet some other ladies who ride, grab a free coffee, win a prize and say hey! Everyone is welcome but ladies only on the ride which will depart at 12:30pm and will head to Deep Cove. We will park our bikes and hangout for a bit and afterwards, everyone is free to do what they'd like!
IFRD celebrates women who ride, inspires women to get up and go and encourages women to meet other women who do what they do. Every type of bike and women is welcome!

Moto photographer dude Blaine Connolly and I put together an article from our 12 hour USA trip to the Oyster Run. I just got the news that it'll be ran in the next issue of American Iron... Keep an eye out and let me know if you see it cus I'll need to grab a copy too!
This past Saturday was the biggest and best International Female Ride Day I've hosted yet! There was over 55 women who showed up at International Motorsports and even more that joined along the way. I raffled off some prizes, we drank coffee and then rode out to Delta to the Owl and Raptor Rehabilitation Centre where we got to watch them release 2 rehabilitated bald eagles back into the wild. It was insanely cool. There were a couple owls there too and damn those things are majestic. Also, a snake shit on me. Overall it was a really hilarious and awesome day. Thanks so much to everyone who came out!! Here's some photos from the day.
CBC News interviewed me the week before the event about women who ride in Vancouver and the International Female Ride Day event. You can hear it on their site HERE
Thanks to The Dream Roll, Converse, Brixton & Stance Socks for supplying raffle prizes and thank you to International Motorsports in Vancouver for hosting us and supplying coffee and snacks! I like to switch it up every year in terms of location and routes so if you have any ideas for next years event, hit me up through the CONTACT tab at the top of my site!
International Female Ride Day is coming up !! This will be the 4th year that Road Apples organizes a ride in Vancouver/BC. Last year we did Victoria @ Wheelies Motorcycles and it was a fucking blast. This year will be back in Vancouver but with a twist. We're going to meet at International Motorsports on 2nd Ave at 10:30am on May 6th, drink some coffee, do a raffle with prizes from Converse, Brixton, Stance & The Dream Roll and then head out towards the O.W.L Rehabilitation Centre in Delta. They're having an open house on the same day we're doing the ride (May 6th) so were going to go check out some owls and raptors and even watch one of these birds being released back into the wild.
Ladies only! Anyone is welcome to the meet up at International Motorsports but ladies only on the ride! See you babes soon! More information on the poster below or the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/events/1791288931191865/
